The Exquisite And Fascinating Monterey Hotels

By Nathan D. Clark

In northern California, some 115 miles to the north of San Francisco, there is an intriguing, coastal town called Monterey. It is a haven for visitors, and as a result, people come from all over the world to savor the beauty, history and charm that abounds there. There are an untold number of Monterey hotels that will meet the need of every visitor's budget.

If you are a people loving person with no worries about how much you can spend, then the high season during the months of May to October and the holidays, is the time for you to visit. For those who are on a more limited budget, and prefer to visit when there fewer people, the off season is during November through April. This is, also, when you can find incredible specials on hotel rooms.

The Acacia Lodge is nestled in a secluded, rural area in the heart of wine country. The hotel is at the end of a long, private drive that hides it from the rest of the world. You can begin your day at the fabulous, complimentary breakfast buffet, featuring the famous Belgian waffles. You can choose from a wide selection of waffle toppings, breads, eggs and cereals.

The style of the rooms is French decor with a delightful view of the vineyards and the country around the hotel. Every room includes necessary items such as an iron and ironing board and a blow dryer. There is an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi that guests can relax in, free parking and best of all, it is within walking distance of the village and local restaurants.

If you prefer to be closer to downtown Monterrey where the attractions and shops are located, choose the Stagecoach Inn. Besides the normal rooms with different bed sizes, they offer a beautiful King Fireplace Room. This is a larger room that includes a fireplace and king size bed. All of their rooms have a small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. Every room has been remodeled and redecorated, and each one has a lovely marble bathroom.

If you enjoy walking and are tired of riding in the car, the Cannery Row Inn is the place for you. It is in the middle of the historic district, and you can easily walk the short distance to the ocean. You won't need to get in your car the rest of the time you are in Monterrey because everything is close at hand. The rooms are absolutely delightful with their balcony and beautiful view of the beach. All of their queen and king rooms have a fireplace. This is a family friendly hotel with a family suite that can accommodate even the larger families.

Comfort is the theme at Spindrift Inn. The rooms are spacious and lovely with their own wood burning fireplaces. The fabulous feather mattresses are the height of comfort, and you'll enjoy sitting on the window seat or outside on your own private balcony while you watch the waves crash onto the beach. The free breakfast is served in your room on a silver tray. In these romantic, intimate rooms, you'll find yourself absolutely spoiled.

The Monterey hotels are designed with your comfort in mind and with the goal of making you want to come back time and time again. They are the key to making your vacation an unforgettable experience. - 29958
